Birdies for Charity 2020

Help The Academy raise money through the Phoenix Open!

What is Birdies for Charity?

The Thunderbirds and Phoenix Open title sponsor Waste Management have an exciting way for Arizona’s charities, including Arizona Academy of the Performing Arts (AAPA), to have fun and support your favorite charity with the birdies made during the competitive rounds of the 2020 Waste Management Phoenix Open. Click here to learn more about  Birdies for Charity.

How do I join the fun?

Anyone from anywhere can join in the fun by pledging an amount per BIRDIE that is made during the 5 days of the Phoenix Open using the link below. 100% of your gift goes to The Academy PLUS the Thunderbirds will match your gift with an additional 15%!

(If 1,500 birdies are made, which is typical, your total pledge would be: $0.01 = $15; $0.02 = $30; $0.03 = $45; $0.04 = $60; $0.05 = $75)

The Pledge deadline is 5pm on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020.

Who gets the money?

No funds will be collected by the AAPA. The Thunderbirds will invoice those who fill out pledge forms following the 2020 Waste Management Phoenix Open. 100% of the collected Birdies for Charity pledges will go directly to the AAPA in support of all our programs. In addition, The Thunderbirds will generously donate an additional 15% of all funds collected for the AAPA.

We are listed under Academy Drum & Bugle Corps in the charity dropdown. On the donation form you will choose Arizona Drum & Bugle Corps.
