 The complete percussion materials are now available to all who have registered for the 2012 auditions. 53 total pages of musical exercises, pictures, technique descriptions, practice suggestions and more are available for download. Every section is covered including snare, tenor, bass, cymbal, and front ensemble. All individuals who are interested in The Academy percussion program should fill out the registration form to receive access to this information, whether you intend to audition for 2012 or not. The information will help prepare you to improve as a performer, as well as set the course for your future involvement with The Academy programs!

 Recently, the Board of Directors of the Arizona Academy of
the Performing Arts approved to extend the touring plans for its drum and bugle
corps for the 2012 season. For the
first time the corps will be in competition at all of the major event weekends
from July to August, enabling its membership to perform in 5 more competitions
and one more major DCI event than last season. The complete tour schedule will be made public Thanksgiving
weekend. Keep your eyes out to see
if The Academy will be passing through your hometown this summer! More than ever the corps will be seeking
financial support for its members in 2012. Look for opportunities in the coming weeks to contribute to
the corps this season!

 Register today to get access to the audition events for the 2012 Academy Drum and Bugle Corps. This year's primary audition camp will be held over the weekend of December 9-11 for all sections of the corps. Satellite pre-audition sessions are currently being developed for some sections in Southern California on November 26 & 27 as well as El Paso, TX (TBD) for individuals in those areas that would like to experience The Academy before the formal audition weekend. Local Arizona residents are encouraged to attend the Informational Open House held on December 3rd in the Auditorium of Desert Vista High School in Phoenix (Ahwatukee), Arizona at 10AM.
