The two week marathon search for votes and support for The Academy and charities across the country has come to an end. A monumental effort by our staff, volunteers, members, parents, fans, partner organizations, and others allowed us to remain among the top charities receiving support for this grant opportunity. While it looks as if re received over 8,000 votes over the last 14 days, Chase will be tallying the votes and announcing the grant awards in the next couple days. Thank you, to all who voted, or played a part in securing votes for The Academy. Your efforts will help to sustain this organization for many years to come.

Are you a Southern California resident and interested in The Academy percussion section? Well, The Academy is coming to your neighborhood. This fall, The Academy is hosting two informal pre-audition percussion sessions where prospective members can work with the staff and be evaluated prior to the auditions. These short workshops are designed
for those individuals who live outside of Arizona and want to get a feel for
the organization and instructional methods of the corps before making the
investment to attend the audition camp in December.
The format of the workshop will include short instructional
sessions as well as individual opportunities to be evaluated by the staff. Interested students should fill out the
online application form and designate which satellite experience they will be
attending at that time. There is
no additional cost beyond the $40 audition registration fee to attend those
sessions. Currently there are two
opportunities to "test drive" The Academy....
