Arizona Academy of the Performing Arts

It is not too late to register for the Southern California Pre-Audition sessions for prospective percussion members.  Held on Saturday and Sunday this weekend at Ayala High School, the staff of The Academy is ready to meet you! 

About the sessions - These short workshops are designed for those individuals who might live outside of Arizona and want to get a feel for the organization and instructional methods of the corps before making the investment to attend the audition camp in December.  The format of the workshop will include short instructional sessions as well as individual opportunities to be evaluated by the staff.

Cost - There is no additional cost beyond the $40 registration fee that you is submitted upon filling out the online registration form.  If you are planning on attending, please visit the online registration form to submit your information and payment right away.   We will have an administrative staff member available to register and take payment from walk-ups that day as well. Cash, Check, and Credit Card are all acceptable.

Sunday, November 27^{th -} Front Ensemble

Schedule:
8:30 am - open for check-in/registration
9:00 am - Meet & greet with the staff9:30 am - Masterclasses begin

short break for lunch around 1:00pm (on your own, bring a sack lunch or find a local establishment)

6:00 pm - Session ends

What to bring:

Sticks/Mallets/pads - Bring your own sticks and mallets for this session.  Snares and tenors should bring your own pads as well in the event that we don't have enough instruments for everyone to play on all the time.

Cancellation - please inform us if you previously designated that you would attend and no longer plan to join us this weekend.
